Yes, the feature sounds very similar to SideCar, but it's different. You can use the cursor and keyboard of your Mac to control the iPad and even other Mac devices without the need to attach physical cables. What Universal Control does is that it allows you to use your Mac and iPad device pretty seamlessly.
